FAQ
Practical answers. No cleverness.
The exact answers to common questions about setup, calling, languages, capacity, data, pricing, and product boundaries.
Setup & timeline
How fast can we be live?
Once we have your event pack, setup is measured in days, not weeks. We structure your materials, load the agent, provision the number, and run a pre-event QA window with you.
Setup & timeline
What do we need to send you?
A timetable, a site map, FAQs and policies, transport details, and one named ops contact — in whatever format it already exists.
Setup & timeline
Do we run anything during the event?
No. During pilots Booth is founder-run. You place the number on signage and nominate one ops contact for alerts; we monitor the line.
The number & calling
What number do attendees dial?
One local phone number, printed on wristbands, gates, screens, tickets, and maps.
The number & calling
Does calling cost attendees anything?
A standard local call. No app, no account, and no mobile data required.
The number & calling
What happens to the number after the event?
For festivals the number is temporary and retired after the event. For venues it can stay as a standing number across the calendar.
The number & calling
How do live alerts reach callers?
You update an answer once in the dashboard and Booth speaks the current answer to every new caller from that moment.
Languages
What languages does the agent answer in?
40+ languages, grounded in your event facts.
Languages
Is there a language menu?
No. The agent answers in the caller’s language without a menu to navigate.
Capacity & lines
What happens when everyone calls at once?
The agent answers every caller at once — there is no single queue to overflow.
Capacity & lines
Does it work when the data network dies?
Yes. A voice call still works when mobile data is slow or saturated, which is exactly when comms are most fragile.
Data & privacy
What do you store about callers?
The transcript record of calls. The retained event record is the transcript, not call audio.
Data & privacy
Do you record calls?
Booth is designed around transcript retention rather than stored recordings.
Data & privacy
Who else sees our event’s data?
Only you. Booth uses per-organizer data isolation and does not pool or benchmark across customers.
Pricing / pilots
How does pricing work?
Pilots are scoped per event based on gate size and expected peak call volume. Small live event pilots start around €950–1,500 plus capped usage.
Pricing / pilots
Can we run a pilot first?
Yes — early Booth engagements are founder-run pilots on a single event.
Product boundaries
Can Booth handle emergencies?
No. Booth is not emergency, medical, or security dispatch. Out-of-scope calls are escalated or directed to your defined human process.
Product boundaries
Does Booth replace event staff?
No. Booth handles repeated information questions and shows patterns; it does not replace medical, security, welfare, or emergency staff.
Product boundaries
What happens if Booth does not know the answer?
It does not invent. Unknown or out-of-scope questions become visible to the organizer and are handled through the agreed process.
Product boundaries
Is Booth an AI phone agent?
Booth uses a voice AI agent to answer calls, but the product is the event information line and the organizer question stream.
